Remark: The tourist visa exemption scheme, effective December 31, 2016, allows passport holders from 64 countries visa-free entry to Thailand for up to 30 days. This exemption is granted twice a year over land or sea borders and has no limitation for air travel.
Malaysians entering via land borders face no restrictions on the issuance of the 30-day visa exemption stamp. Notably, travellers from Korea, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Chile receive an extended 90-day visa-free stay, applicable at both airports and land borders.
